Retrace the Dutch Master’s work and life in Amsterdam
350 years ago, in 1669 the greatest painter of the Golden Age died in Amsterdam. This year we honour his life and work with three special tours.
Walk in the footsteps of the great Dutch Master in the streets of Amsterdam. The places where he lived, where his most famous paintings used to hang on the wall, like the Night Watch, the syndics of the drapers guild and the Anatomy Lesson of professor Tulp. We walk along the houses of his friends and clients as well as locations linked to Rembrandt’s dramatic personal life. The Amsterdam golden Age comes alive with an art historian as your private guide.
Come closer to the Dutch Master with a guided visit to the Rembrandt house. Enter his studio and attend a workshop about how he made his paint and about his etching techniques. This is as close to Rembrandt as you can get.
Make the unique combination with a visit to the Rembrandt House, a walking tour in the Dutch Master’s footsteps and a guided tour in the Rijksmuseum with an accent on the works of Rembrandt and his contemporary artists.
